Its 8.00 am Wednesday morning and Gay has just gone down for the treatment all the patients dread. It's called Hypothermia and it takes 3 hours.
She has to lie on a heated mattress that raises her body temp to over 50deg. She is covered with foil blankets with sensors fitted all over her and has to stay there for 3 hours. She has to wear a special helmet that has cooled water running through it so her brain doesn't overheat!
Sounds so scary and the idea of it is that as cancer cells do no like to be subjected to excessive heat it kills or weakens them allowing the other infusions she is having to annihilate them.
There are two nurses and two doctors monitoring her throughout.

The results on other patients has been astonishing and there is one guy here that was carried into the hospital last week and had the treatment 2 days ago and is now walking around.

She will be sedated for the 3 hours so wont feel any discomfort and I will sneak a photo later.
Pray God will keep her cool!

Gay getting prepared for Hypothermia Treatment

Treatment went really well and Gay didn't need sedation. She also had Vitamin C and B17 infusions at the same time. Very tiring but after an hour she was out and about.

We went out for lunch with some other patients and companions to a nearby Mexican Restaurant.
